Dream Theater vs Metallica? no contest DT hands down. Images and Words vs Master of Puppets?... it's true that I enjoyed listening to Master of Puppets when I'm in high school but Images & Words album changed my view in music and as a musician.
That time I bought an Ibanez RG 370DX guitar because I dreamt of to be as good as John Petrucci, and until now he's still my guitar god (not Steve or Satch sorry guys). I still follow their new albums and watch youtube clips from time to time. Damn... till now I'm still wishing to watch they play live!
Their first album till now are very hard work compilation of songs in terms of compositions and rock musicality. Covering their songs are all pretty close to impossible too!
I couldn't believe at first that Dream Theater beats Metallica fans? Well I guess Dream Theater fans shouldn't be underestimated.
Congrats to Dream Theater and to their loyal fans, like me! :)
