Upgrading Nikon D90 to Nikon D7100... worth it?

Just had my upgrade from D90 to D7100. I'm really quite skeptical and afraid of being disappointed about my dslr body upgrade instead of getting a new lens... well guess what... I'm glad I did!!!

As a user of D90 for almost 5yrs, so far here's what I think of a D7100 huge advantages for me:

Windows software raid1 / mirror drives negative testing

I never had an experienced on doing software raid1 or at least win8 mirroring drive but I decided to jump into negative testing right away. Just to prepare myself to any kind of situation I may experience when one of my drive died.

To be honest I'm really worried about the reliability of the HDD these days though I do understand the high storage and faster read/write means more issue probably.

Nokia Lumia 720 vs 820?

My personal thoughts?

The model number of Lumia 820 and 720 really speaks for itself. 820 is indeed a higher model. Why? CPU!

I tested the Lumia 720 and my immediate disappointment is the speed especially navigating and loading apps which is really pretty close to my good old HD7 than on my Lumia 920.

Sharing my ghost stories

In my cousin's house mag isa lang sya (nun single pa) then it happens na meron makikitulog sa kanya for 1 night. When his friend tries to freshen up on 2nd floor bigla daw sya bumaba, umalis at hindi nagpakita o nagparamdam ng almost 3 weeks.

After quite some time nagkataon na nagkita sila, kinwento ng kaibigan nya na pasimula palang daw sya mag shower bigla nya nakita sa upper window na nakatitig na babae sa kanya.

Some good news:

MS good news = ...but wait, lets not get too excited, time for some nitty gritty analysis to throw sand on this.
Apple good news = Apple is the savior of all humanity, no need for further analysis.

Some bad news:

MS bad news = hmm... better dig deeper and throw some sensationalism on this fire.
Apple bad news = better add a qualifying paragraph on Apple’s success for damage control.

Is it ok to use C++ as my first Programming Language?

Yes! Don't misinterpret with the "++" of C++ that most of them think it's difficult than C. In fact C++ is EASIER because it has the most containers (STL) you need than doing it in pointers or arrays way of C style.

If you know C++ basically you can already adapt to any programming language. Plus you take advantage of learning object oriented programming that is in demand on todays industry -- that is maybe if you want to try C#/Java, etc. in the future.

Windows 8 rants or praise?

I owned 3 Windows 8 upgraded PC/laptop and been using it for quite some time now. I will never go back to Windows 7 ever again. Absolutely didn't miss anything in Windows 7 and there is nothing missing actually.

I ignored most people I know when they say the bad things about Windows 8 because they never actually think of trying it.
